ABOUT

Hi! I’m Ellie Stanton, and I’m a writer, producer, and public historian based in San Francisco. I’ve created museum exhibits, podcasts, and documentary films, using immersive storytelling to engage audiences in the past. I’ve written more than 90 episodes of the hit Wondery podcast American History Tellers. At the Newseum in Washington, D.C., I developed and wrote exhibitions on the Vietnam War, the Black Power movement, and the American Revolution. I’ve also written and produced films, multimedia interactives, and audio installations for the National Civil Rights Museum, Hamilton: The Exhibition, and the George W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. In 2018 I received a Master’s degree in American History from the University of Cambridge, where my research focused on racism and American national identity.
