ABOUT

Hi! I’m Ellie Stanton, and I’m a writer, producer, and public historian based in San Francisco. I’ve written and produced museum exhibits, podcasts, and documentary films, applying my passion for engaging people in the past with immersive storytelling. I’ve written more than 80 episodes of the hit Wondery podcast American History Tellers. At the Newseum in Washington, D.C., I developed and wrote exhibitions on the Vietnam War, the Black Power movement, and the American Revolution. I’ve also written and produced films, multimedia interactives, and audio installations for the National Civil Rights Museum, Hamilton: The Exhibition, and the George W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. In 2018 I received a Master’s degree in American History from the University of Cambridge, where my research focused on racism and U.S. national identity.
